Who We Are
Conscious Life & Style is a mindful digital media destination inspiring holistic personal, community, and planetary wellbeing. We explore ways to create a better, more sustainable and equitable future for fashion — and the world — with resources that support a mindful lifestyle, curations of environmentally and socially-responsible lifestyle brands, and deep dives into systemic challenges in fashion (and beyond) alongside inspirational solutions that are paving the way for a brighter more equitable future.

Meet the Team
Elizabeth Joy
Founder & Content Creator
Elizabeth created Conscious Life & Style once she recognized that her love of fashion was at odds with her passion for sustainability and values for social justice and human rights. Today, she is dedicated to advocating for a fairer future for fashion that can have a positive impact on people and the place that we all call home: Mother Earth. Elizabeth also manages the Conscious Fashion Collective platform focused on spotlighting changemaking brands, creatives, and ideas in the sustainable fashion space.
Ella Dias
Content Coordinator
Ella Dias is an advocate for ethical living and a lover of all things eco-conscious. As a Content Coordinator for Conscious Life and Style and a small business owner, when she’s not huddled away in her laptop working alongside others to build a better future… you will find her flexin’ on some yoga, book-reading during sunsets, traveling, and munching on some vegan deserts!
Abigail Davidson
Partnerships Manager
With her boutique agency, ADH Management, Abigail manages partnerships and projects for conscious creators in the areas of sustainability, social impact, entrepreneurship, and wellness. She has a diverse background in mental health treatment, sales, writing, digital marketing, business support, PR, and communications. She works out of a passion for personal and community development, holistic wellbeing, cultural diversity, and individual empowerment.
Stella Hertantyo
Contributing Writer
Stella Hertantyo is based in Cape Town, South Africa, and is currently completing her PGDip in Sustainable Development to accompany her undergraduate in Multimedia journalism. She is a slow living enthusiast and a lover of low-impact fashion. She is passionate about encouraging an approach to sustainability that is inclusive, accessible, and fun as we try to figure out how to create a more sustainable and just world, together. When Stella is not in front of her laptop doing uni work, you'll probably find her reading, writing, illustrating or baking/cooking. A dip in the ocean, or a walk in the mountains, are the two things that bring her the most peace.

Where We Are
We are a digital media business with team members around the world! But the “headquarters” (aka Elizabeth’s apartment) operates from the traditional unceded homelands of the Council of the Three Fires: the Ojibwe, Odawa, and Potawatomi. This area is also the ancestral homeland of the Hoocąk (Winnebago/Ho’Chunk), Jiwere (Otoe), Nutachi (Missouria), and Baxoje (Iowas); Kiash Matchitiwuk (Menominee); Meshkwahkîha (Meskwaki); Asâkîwaki (Sauk); Myaamiaki (Miami), Waayaahtanwaki (Wea), and Peeyankihšiaki (Piankashaw); Kiikaapoi (Kickapoo); Inoka (Illini Confederacy).
Presently, this area is known as Chicago, Illinois. Both Chicago and Illinois are words coming from the Algonquin language. Chicago originated from the word shikaakwa, meaning “wild onion” and Illinois originated from the word Illiniwek, meaning “the people”.
